Kevin Akers

Hi, I'm Kevin. My passion for teaching and learning goes back to my time in college while working on my degree in mathematics, when I was able to assist students in several different classes and subjects. I continued my passion for education in different roles in the public education system, including as a high school math teacher and helping students who were learning English as a Second Language (ESL).

My passion lies in not only helping students learn a specific subject, but also stimulating their ability to learn on their own, so that they can be independent learners and thinkers throughout their lives. I offer both individual and group tutoring sessions for a variety of ages and subjects, and would love to get to know what your or your child's individual learning needs are.

Pricing

The standard rate for online tutoring is $45 (per 1-hour session), or $55 (per 1-hour session) for in-person (New River Valley area only).
